1260 Squadron Newark & District Air Cadets have welcomed the latest Air Cadets to graduate at a ceremony held in front of parents and friends at Newark RAFA Club.
The Air Cadets, who joined in April 2015, have worked together to successfully pass an induction course in which they have learnt about the organisation, the RAF and the basics of flying. The Cadets have also successfully obtained their basic First Aid Heartstart awards.
The Newark Air Cadets who graduated on the evening are:
Elliot Gillooley-Evans
Lewis Hayward
Amna Naeem
Maddy Rumley
The awards were presented by a former Newark Air Cadet, the Mayor of Newark, Councillor Robert Crowe.
Newark Air Cadets Commanding Officer Flight Lieutenant Martin Derbyshire said “These Cadets have worked hard to become First Class Cadets and now that they are full members of the Squadron they will have opportunities to take part in a wide range of activities including flying from RAF Cranwell”.
