Awards for Air Cadets

Presentations have been made to recognise the achievements of those Newark & District Air Cadets who have excelled over recent months in their academic studies, at sport, first aid and in using radios for communication. The continuing commitment of the staff volunteers who also undertake, in their own time, training and development was also recognised.

The awards were presented by a former Newark Air Cadet, the Mayor of Newark, Councillor Robert Crowe who said “I recall from my time as an Air Cadet tremendously enjoyable visits to RAF stations at Swinderby, Syerston and Newton and I wish all involved with 1260 Squadron a long and successful time in the Air Cadet organisation”.
