Air Cadets Graduate

The latest Newark Air Cadets graduated at a presentation evening held in front of parents and friends at the Royal Air Force Association Club.

The Air Cadets, who joined in September 2014, have worked together to successfully pass an induction course in which they have learnt about the organisation, the RAF and the basics of flying. They were presented with their certificates by Nottinghamshire County Councillor Stuart Wallace.

Newark Air Cadets Commanding Officer Flight Lieutenant Martin Derbyshire said, “Although they only joined a few months ago these latest Air Cadets have soon settled in and show a lot of promise for the future. They are now able to take part in all of our activities including flying and gliding as well as adventure training activities and extended visits to RAF bases”.

The Newark Air Cadets who graduated on the evening are:

Grace Songer age 13

James Walker age 14

Jennifer Williams age 13

Philip Williams age 12
