Cadets learn drill basics so that they can take part in commemoration events such as Remembrance Sunday. The annual Wing Field Day also includes a drill competition giving us an opportunity to see how we fare against other local Air Cadet groups.

learning drill is tremendous for building team work and, later on, leadership skills. It goes alongside learning how to correctly address others, saluting and being properly turned out. Cadets are inspected on a regular basis to ensure that standards of appearance are maintained. Initial training comes with lessons on how to iron and how to get shoes to really shine.
